Event Highlights: What women of colour in the workplace need from their managers

According to Runnymede Trust research:

75% of women of colour have experienced racism at work, and 61% report changing themselves to ‘fit in’.

Forced to mould to conform: 61% report changing themselves to ‘fit-in’ at work, from the language or words they use (37%), their hairstyle (26%) and even their name (22%). Its time for change and managers can make it happen.

During this session hosted by Jenny, a panel of executive coaches, Claudia Crawley, Hira Ali, Marie Loney and Obehi Alofoji who are all included in the Diverse Executive Coach Directory, heard attendees thoughts and shared their strategies on how individuals can initiate discussions with managers, leaders and directors to make them more aware of cultural and gender differences – allowing women of colour to get the help that that need to thrive and succeed in your workplace.
