Most leaders say they want their teams to think and act like owners. Few of them have asked themselves the harder question: what conditions in my own leadership are stopping that from happening?
The Intrapreneurial Leadership Audit is a 15-question structured reflection tool to help leaders audit their own leadership against the conditions that enable intrapreneurial behaviour.
It draws on academic research on psychological ownership (Pierce, Kostova and Dirks, 2001 and 2003) which identifies three roots: efficacy, identity, belonging. JGG’s Ownership Spectrum builds on this foundation – describing the four states people occupy at work, from “that’s not my job” through to “this is mine.”
Take it for yourself first. Then ask your team to complete it independently. The differences are usually more interesting than the totals.
